Google has a new project called Caffeine that it is allowing users to preview before rolling out the changes. The role of Caffeine in the Search Engine results is that content changes are updated more frequently - with the goal being "real time" search.
I ran a search for "Belleville IL SEO" which is akeyword phrase that I'd like to have my site show up in the results. I was surprised by the results. My domain was registered on Saturday, and I put my site up that same day. I ran the search on Monday, so a total of 2 days that the site has been live. I showed up in the local search results on both Google Caffeine and normal Google. The real shocker was that in Google Caffeine I was already being displayed in the regular organic search results.
It seems like once Google rolls out the changes, that this will be a major benefit for people who want their site to show up in Google as quickly as possible in the Organic listings. It seems like this is definitely going to be benefical for website owners, but I'm not sure if this will be beneficial for Google. My recommendation for when to use AdWords (Google's pay per click program) is only to use this until the site ranks high enough in the organic rankings. If a website shows up in Organic listings within just a few days, I won't be recommending the use of AdWords at all. Maybe this will also force Google to make changes to AdWords. I'll be watching closely to see how this all turns out.
