Our Larissa Photography business website needed a website redesign for many reasons. We felt that the design didn't show off our work as well as a newer desgin would, the pictures were outdated, and there were SEO changes that I wanted to make. One of the big SEO changes I knew that I needed to do was replacing html tables with div's. This would have been a pain if I hadn't decided to essentially start fresh using a completely different template, etc for each page.
There were other changes that I made due to the Google algorithm update. Basically, anything that would decrease page load speed I did. I'm also hoping to get stronger links and have Google display category links for our main page. We'll see if that works.
We've re-claimed the #1 spot for our desired keyword, and hopefully we'll hold on to it for a month. In February, I've got a story running in PPA magazine on Search Engine Optimization, and it would be great if I could have top spot when that magazine came out.
